Health Care Facilities

The Coolamon Shire boasts excellent medical services and facilities that include a modern and immaculately presented Hospital, Medical Centre, Physiotherapy, Counselling, Pharmacy, Dental & Visiting Specialists. And in most cases, you can see your doctor on the day that you phone.

We aslo offer associated ancillary services such as Home Care, Community Transport, Community Nurse, Meals on Wheels, Neighbour Aid, Respite Care, Home Nursing Services and a Community Centre.

Coolamon Shire Council has been progressively developing the properties bounded by Stinson, Mirrool, Wallace and Devlin Streets, to incorporate an aged care and medical facility within the town.

This site presently consists of:

Allawah Retirement Village - development approval for 26 self care units, 24 of which have been constructed.
Coolamon Shire Medical & Dental Centre
Allawah Community Centre - housing HACC Services, Coolamon Shire MSO - Neighbour Aid and other allied health professionals,
Allawah Lodge Aged Persons Hostel - a 33 bed aged person hostel including 10 low care dementia places and
the Coolamon-Ganmain Hospital.
